Join WorkFlow Studios and IBM as we provide FREE hands-on technical training on new features found in Lotus Notes and Domino 8.5. These full-day sessions will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn and experience the benefits of three new Domino features. Each of these additions have significant benefits to your Notes/Domino infrastructure. The first topic is focused on the most significant new feature in Domino Development - XPages. XPages allows the developer to easily create Web 2.0 user experiences in a Domino application. The second and third sessions focus on new features for Domino Administration. Domino Attachment and Object Storage (DAOS) stores file attachments in a separate repository on the server and retrieves them by reference, dramatically reducing the amount of disc space required on the Domino server. Also new in Domino 8.5 is the Notes ID Vault. This feature allows administrators and users the ability to easily manage Notes user IDs, reducing downtime and help desk costs.

ID Vault Workshop - July 15, 2009

We can accommodate up to 50 people, but will only have laptops for approximately 10 people. When you register below, please check the box if you will need to borrow a laptop for the session. Once those machines are accounted for, users will have to partner up, bring their own laptop, or just watch the big screen instead of doing hands-on activities.

We will provide a VM environment on a USB drive that can be put on to your own machine. It will have a 30-day trial license for Windows XP and Notes/Domino 8.5 with the Notes 8.5 clients and a Domino 8.5 server on it. The entire "lab" will run self-contained on the single VM.
